Regardless of Robert's role, whether it was as Course Designer, Master Planner, or even as the occasional spectator, his Olympic experience is impressive. From Course Designer for the 76 Olympics in Montreal, to his review of the footing following injuries at Athens 2004, right through to his recent involvement for NYC 2012, Robert has had an association with the Olympics spanning 30 years.

On the initiative of the Jumping Committee, the "Fédération Équestre Internationale" Executive Board created an Independent Committee to establish why a number of horses received tendon injuries during the Jumping competitions at the 2004 Olympic Games and to produce recommendations for the future.
